Terms & conditions

Terms of Booking for Yoga & Adult Dance classes

By accessing and using our website, you accept and agree to our terms and conditions as outlined below:

 

Bookings can be made through our secure online system or in person. Adult class packs are redeemable against any adult class.

1 class pack expires after 1 month

10 & 15 class packs expire after 6 months

 

The Hummingbird Studio is not responsible for any bank charges, foreign transactions or exchange fees connected to purchase or refund when booking online.

 

Arriving for classes

Access to The Hummingbird Studio is via an entry system. We ask that you arrive 5 -10 minutes before the class is scheduled to start so that I can let you in. It may not always possible to admit latecomers.​

Facilities

There are WC’s & facilities available for changing and washing hands. Kindly remove your outdoor shoes before entering the studio. Please put your mobile phone on silent mode.

​

Yoga

We have some mats available, however you may wish to bring your own mat, a towel & some water. Wear comfortable clothing which is easy to move in.

​

Adult Dance

Wear comfortable clothing which is easy to move in and shoes that are appropriate for the session.

Cancellation policy

If you are no longer able to make your class, we kindly ask that you cancel your booking online with as much notice as possible, 24 hours would be appreciated unless it is an emergency. We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the class start time. If you have not signed in by 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class, your space may be given to a walk-in person.

 

No refund will be given for unused classes in the allocated time for class packs.

 

The Hummingbird Studio reserves the right to cancel or amend classes as necessary, in this instance:

If you are on a class pack the date of expiry will extend for the period of cancellation.

You will be offered an alternative class.

Home Practice Policy for online classes

The Hummingbird Studio is not responsible or liable to you for any injury or harm you sustain as a result of our online classes. By participating in our online classes, you recognise that there is always an element of risk(s) involved with any physical activity and you are choosing to participate at your own risk.

Only do those activities that you consider safe for your own body. You are asked to assess any existing conditions you may have that may preclude you from doing any of the movement suggested. If you are in any doubt, please consult a medical professional prior to joining a class. Please note any advice given on age appropriateness or necessary experience for a class as listed.

It is your sole responsibility to ensure the environment in which you will exercise is safe and suitable for exercise, and free from obstacles prior to participation in our online classes. Should you require an object for balance, insure that it is of a stable nature and suitable for your activity. Choose footwear that is appropriate for the floor surface area that you are practising on.

 

You should CEASE participation in the exercise and seek immediate medical assistance (as required) if:

 

(i) at any time during a session you feel discomfort or pain;

(ii) any time before the exercise you feel discomfort or pain; and/ or

(iii) you have an underlying medical or health condition.

By participating in our studio & online classes, you recognise that there is always an element of risk(s) involved with any physical activity and you are choosing to participate at your own risk. 

 

You are advised to consult a medical professional before participation in the exercise or classes if (without limitation) any of the following applies: you are pregnant or have given birth in the last 6 months, you have heart problem(s), back problem(s), high or low blood pressure, high cholesterol, headaches/dizziness or a fainting feeling when you carry out exercise, epilepsy, diabetes, or if you experience pain or limited movements in any joints (knees, for example).
